Tanni’s Tail (Tuesday 25th
October 2016)
I was curled
up on the sofa with Her watching TV
and congratulating myself that I am now Top Cat again when I saw Mr Tod the fox!
How did he manage to get past Pasha & me and onto the screen? We used to
think animals were inside the box ready to jump out but now we are older and
wiser we know different. Although we still don’t quite understand how they get there
and what happens to them when they disappear?
Her Tale (Tuesday 25th
October 2016)
Tanni and I
settled down to watch Autumn Watch along with Countryfile one of his favourite
programmes. Tanni is a telly Cat and particularly enjoys watching animal
programmes. I had no idea how many animals and birds of all shapes appear on TV
nightly till Tanni enlightened me!
Last night was
a bumper night. First we saw the very handsome ginger marmalade Cat Bob soon to
star in his own movie!
Then we saw
the welcome return of Autumn Watch. As the animals appeared on the screen Tanni
rated them one by one for interest.
Deer were
worth a cursory glance. Birds always of interest. The red squirrel very
watchable especially when he twitched his tail and his whiskers.
But it was
the mouse maze which made him sit up and take notice and quiver his whiskers.
As the wild mouse navigated the maze of it’s own free will coming in from the
cold seeking the nuts Tanni could hardly contain his excitement.
However it was the
fox which had him leaning forward ears pricked neck craned eager to take him
on! Quite clearly Tanni recognised the fox who he must’ve met on his daytime
garden jaunts. With chickens in a neighbouring garden this wouldn’t be much of
a surprise.
